Roman Aeneas: Selections from Virgil's 'Aeneid' (I-VI) with a Connecting Narrative in English

First published in 1942 as the second edition of a 1939 original, this book compiles Latin selections from the first six books of Virgil's Aeneid for the benefit of those who 'have only a little time for the study of Latin' to give them a sense of the narrative as a whole. Loseby connects the extracts with short links in English to keep the narrative fluid, and includes detailed notes and glossary for each section. This book will be of value to anyone looking for a brief introductory guide to Virgil's epic or with an interest in the history of Classical education.
