Ecological Inspirations

Eco awareness is a clear reflection of the change in paradigm supporting architecture and which can be seen in different sectors of society. Building without a thought for the local setting, using materials that do not respect the natural environment, abusing the sources of traditional energies, are all approaches that belong to the past. Nowadays, more importance is given to the strategies used to conserve the environment and the life cycle of the buildings, and minimize the impact of the building on the ecosystem.

If the façades and roof gardens, reused water tanks, the positioning of the buildings depending on the currents of air and the conservation of energies are taken into account as references of eco solutions, it can be seen that in the architectural projects of this century, there is a determination to implement these eco paradigms. Adapting to one’s environment, and not the other way around, is an example of how architecture starts out with eco criteria to implement its projections.
